1. Why PAR Wise PRO is better. 

Unlike most PAR meters, the Parwise Pro provides a complete spectral breakdown. You can see how much blue, red, white, and UV light your fixture is emitting, allowing you to optimize your LED settings for peak coral color and growth response.

2. It measures PUR, not just PAR. 

While PAR measures the intensity of usable light between 400–700nm, not all of that light is equally effective for coral and plant growth. The Parwise Pro measures PUR (Photosynthetically Usable Radiation)—the specific wavelengths your corals or plants actually use. This gives you far more accurate insight into whether your lighting setup is truly effective.

3. DLI Readings for Accurate Photoperiod Control

The Daily Light Integral (DLI) measures the total light energy your tank receives over a 24-hour period. This is a critical metric for SPS corals and freshwater plants alike. The Parwise Pro automatically calculates DLI based on real-time readings and photoperiod duration—something a basic PAR meter can’t do.
